The Dying Of The Day
nível iniciante
This is my rendition of a classic British folk song from the mid 19th century. Though it is loosely based
on the version by Anna Shannon. transpose as needed. (+2 for Anna Shannon's key)
Chords separated by a dash are half the length of the others (e.g: F - G)

F G F Asus2
Em F - G Asus2 Asus2

         F G F Asus2
When the night closes in and the wind it howls too long
        F G Em Asus2
And the curlew cries his long forgotten song
      F G F Asus2
It is then I will run over heather moss and stone
      Em F - G Asus2 Asus2
To be with you, at the dying of the day

F - G Asus2 Asus2

         F G F Asus2
When the world has tried, my spirit, to break
      F G Em Asus2
And tomorrow is a fast flowing river to row
      F G F Asus2
It is then I am drawn to the light from your window
     Em F - G Asus2 Asus2
That guides me, at the dying of the day

F - G Asus2
F G F Asus2
F G Em Asus2
F G F Asus2
Em F - G Asus2 Asus2
F - G Asus2 Asus2

         F G F Asus2
When the moon hangs her head in the pale winter sky
        F G Em Asus2
And the trees bow and bend, weary dancers to the wind
       F G F Asus2
Like a lost bird calling I will run to your side
      Em F - G Asus2
To be with you at the dying of the day

F - G Asus2
F - G Asus2
F - G Asus2

        Em F - G Asus2
Iâ??ll be with you at the dying of the day
