Pontiac
Composição de (Fred Eaglesmith)
The chords to this are essentially just E and C#, however the chorus works
better with an Eminor from the 7th fret. I recommend playing the full chords,
not power chords, if playing this acoustically. Also, when this song gets
going, try playing A7 B7 (Johnny Cash style), instead of the C-it's a nice
modification.

E
It's a Pontiac
C# E
It's a '63 Stratochief with a three on the tree
             C#
And it belongs to me
  E C#
And my baby
E
Her and me
             C# E
We go driving down old highway seventeen
		C#
She puts on the radio
		E
Rolls down the window
		C#
Lays her head back
		E
It's a Pontiac

E C#
It ain't got no wild horses painted on the side
	   E C#
And the objects in the mirror are precisely their own size
E C#
It's got a chrome Indian in front of the door

E C#
Might be an Apache or an Arapaho
E C# E C#
Or a Pontiac

chorus
Em
There was an incident last night
C#
At seventeen and third
    Em C#
It all happened so fast nobody's really sure
    Em C#
But somebody held the rifle, somebody held the sack
E
And as fast as they were there
		    C#
Well they were gone just like that
E C# E C#
In a Pontiac

E C#
The anti-freeze is boiling and the oil pressure's low
	E C#
And the pedal's to the metal and it's as fast as it can go
	     E C#
And the stain on her shoulder I getting darker you know
              E C#
And the radio keep blasting out the facts
E C# E C#
It's a Pontiac
